Important for micro-enterprises

The Act provides for an exemption for micro-enterprises providing services covered by its provisions.

If you’re not sure whether this applies to your business, it’s worth checking the situation on a case-by-case basis — particularly if you sell via marketplaces such as Allegro.

what you gain

Why is it worth making sure that availability?

Digital accessibility is not just a matter of regulatory compliance. It also offers a tangible business benefit — greater reach, a better user experience and the opportunity to reach customers who may currently find it difficult to use your website or service.

Compliance z regulations and a lower risk

Digital accessibility requirements are becoming increasingly specific, and failure to comply with them may result in financial penalties. Depending on the nature and scale of the breach, penalties may amount to up to 10,000 zł for failure to ensure accessibility or up to 5,000 zł for failure to provide an accessibility statement. In the case of more serious breaches, the regulations may also provide for sanctions based on the scale of operations or turnover.

It is therefore worth viewing accessibility not as a cost imposed by regulations, but as a way of mitigating risk and preparing the business for the market’s growing demands.

Access to greater groups customers

Approximately 20% of the population may experience difficulties when using the internet — for example, due to disabilities, age, time constraints or using devices in unusual circumstances.

An accessible website enables you to reach a wider audience and minimise instances where a potential customer decides not to make a purchase, get in touch or use a service because they are unable to navigate the site easily.

4 simple steps towards a more available website or shop

1. Audit availability

We analyse a website or online shop to check that it complies with WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 AA, by checking both the key elements of the website and the actual user journeys.

2. Report and recommendations

You receive a clear report listing the non-conformities identified, a description of them and recommendations on how to improve them. On this basis, we prepare a bespoke quote for implementing the changes.

3. Implementation changes

Our team dev + web design is responsible for implementing the recommended improvements. This means that our collaboration does not end with the report itself — we can manage the entire process, from analysis through to implementation.

4. Verification

Following implementation We check the corrected elements again, to ensure that the changes made work correctly and comply with the WCAG guidelines.

Valuation

Individual approach to every project

We do not offer fixed packages — We determine the cost of the audit and implementation on a case-by-case basis, as the scope of work depends on the size, functionality and complexity of the website or online shop.

After a brief discussion and once we have familiarised ourselves with the specifics of the service, we will present a specific scope of work and a clear quotation.
